1. Market applications are reviewed in the order they are received; however, for any market dates where there are more applicants than spaces available, priority will be given to local hand-made, home-grown vendors. 2. Regarding Direct Sales vendors (Norwex, Scentsy, Tupperware, etc.) no more than one (1) vendor of each type will be allowed per market. If more than one vendor of the same direct sales product applies for the same market date(s), the Market Coordinator will work with the vendors to find an amicable solution - the final decision will be at the discretion of the Market Coordinator.3. Vendors must provide the one-time, non-refundable application fee for the 2025 market season ($15) once their application has been approved. *This fee is waived for approved vendors who have signed up for all 5 market dates.4. Vendors must pay their fees within two (2) weeks of being approved. 5. If payment is not received by the applicable deadline, vendor spots will no longer be held.6. Vendors are expected to attend the market dates they register and are approved for. No refunds will be given for market dates vendors do not attend.7. If an emergency occurs and a vendor is unable to attend one of their dates, they must notify the Market Coordinator as soon as possible of the absence.8. Vendors who ‘no-show’ to markets, and/or who do not communicate with the Market Coordinator accordingly, will forfeit their participation for the rest of the season.
Prior to Market Day: 9. All vendors should read: The Province of Manitoba' 's Farmers Market Guidelines10. The Market Coordinator will take into consideration all requests, but is not required to fulfill any request for new or returning vendors.
On Market Day:11. Parking is available for vendors in the area designated by the Market Coordinator in the site map provided for each market date. Directions for the flow of traffic for dropping off and picking up product and equipment will be provided with the site map, and will be supported by the Market Coordinator or designate on market days.12. All vendors must understand that they do not have a designated booth spot in the market. Allocation will be decided by the Market Coordinator or designate. Market staff reserve the right to relocate vendor booths as needed, at any time, due to extenuating circumstances.13. Vendors are responsible for the set up of their booth, and may begin no more than 1.5 hours prior to market opening. At the latest, vendors must arrive and check in 30 minutes prior to market opening. If a vendor is late, unless prior arrangements have been made, they will not be allowed to set up for that market. 14. Vendors are required to supply their own tables, chairs, tents/canopies, and any other required equipment for the display, heating, cooling, protection or maintenance of their products.15. 10’ x 10’ canopies are available to rent, on a first come first serve basis. 16. Securing of tents/canopies/umbrellas is MANDATORY. (It is a paved lot, so use of sand bags is a good option.)17. Power and extension cords must be tucked away securely, or clearly marked, to prevent tripping hazards and injuries. 18. Vendors, their signage, products and any equipment, must not encroach upon their neighbours' space. Vendor booths may not exceed the measurements of 12'X12'.19. Vendors are not permitted to lend their booths out to anyone not registered with the La Broquerie Farm & Community Market. 20. Vendors who sell prepared foods, or sample edible products, are required to adhere to all Food Handling Regulations set forth by Public Health Manitoba.22. Vendors are not permitted to have pets on the market site.23. Alcohol and drugs, including cannabis, are PROHIBITED on the market site.24. All vendors agree not to begin tear down or remove their booth more than 1/2 hour prior to market close, including vendors who sell out of products early. (This may be waived at the discretion of the Market Coordinator due to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances.)25. All vendors are required to clean up and vacate their site within 1 hour of market closing. Water and ice are not permitted to be dumped on the market site. 26. In cases of bad weather, unless otherwise notified by the Market Coordinator or designate, vendors are expected to arrive at the market as scheduled. If a vendor's product is at risk of damage due to rain, they may pack up/cover it accordingly, but they shall remain on site unless approved to leave by the Market Coordinator or designate. Cancellations or closures of the market in all circumstances will be determined at the discretion of the Market Coordinator or designate.27. La Broquerie Farm & Community Market does not tolerate inappropriate language or behaviour including: verbal abuse, physical assault, and/or harassment. If inappropriate action is observed or reported, you may be asked to leave. Failure to comply will result with the involvement of local authorities, and you may be prohibited from attending future markets.28. Payment of market fees indicates that the vendor has read, understood, and agrees to abide by all of the rules and regulations of the market as laid out above.29. I, the vendor, release the La Broquerie Farm & Community Market and its organizers from all liability and responsibility for any theft or damage to goods included in the display before, during and/or after the market.
